Meet The Team

Marti Harris

Principal Chiropractor & Owner

Originally from Sydney, Marti completed his chiropractic degree at Macquarie University and has been caring for patients for more than 25 years. During his career, he has owned and run well-known clinics in the Southern Highlands and Circular Quay before choosing to make Mackay home.

Marti has also contributed to the profession through his teaching roles in chiropractic technique and clinical reasoning at CQUniversity. His academic background reflects his ongoing commitment to evidence-informed care and the professional development of emerging chiropractors. Now practising full time at My Chiropractor, Marti leads the team with a focus on delivering thoughtful, compassionate and effective care for people of all ages.

Marti has a strong clinical interest in spinal disc and nerve-related conditions, including the use of spinal decompression therapy, dry needling, shockwave therapy and a variety of low-force chiropractic techniques. He also works extensively with shoulder injuries and rehabilitation, helping patients regain strength, movement and confidence as part of a holistic approach to spinal and musculoskeletal health.

He is Advanced Certified in SOT (Sacro Occipital Technique), Activator Methods, Cranial Techniques, NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) and the Webster Technique, enabling him to tailor care to each patient’s needs with precision and depth.

Since moving to Mackay in 2016 with his wife Colleen and their three boys—Sebastian, Tobi and Spencer. Outside of work, Marti is known for his friendly nature, adventurous spirit and great sense of humour. When he’s not at the clinic, you may find him volunteering as a lifesaver at Eimeo Beach, at church, at the gym or practising yoga — ideally followed by a good coffee.

Rod Le Coz

Chiropractor

Rod has been providing chiropractic care in Mackay since 2005. Born in France and raised in New Caledonia, he later moved to Australia to complete his chiropractic degree at Macquarie University in Sydney before settling in Mackay, which he now calls home.

Rod has a particular clinical interest in spinal decompression therapy, especially in supporting people experiencing nerve and disc-related back or neck pain. He also has further training in paediatric and pregnancy-related chiropractic care, he enjoys caring for individuals and families through all stages of life — from expectant mothers and newborns to older adults.

His approach combines a variety of chiropractic techniques and low-force methods, tailored to each person’s comfort and goals, this is reflective of his long-term client base with many who have been in care with Rod for more than a decade.

Outside the clinic, Rod maintains an active lifestyle and has a strong interest in health, fitness and nutrition. When he’s not seeing patients, you’ll often find him training for triathlons, coaching junior soccer, or enjoying a well-earned snack.

Colleen Harris

With nearly 30 years of experience in the health field, Colleen brings a wealth of knowledge, warmth, and organisation to My Chiropractor Mackay City. Many in the Mackay community will know her from her time managing the CQUniversity Student Chiropractic Clinic over the past decade, or from her long-standing presence as Pregnancy Massage Mackay, where she became well known for supporting women through every stage of pregnancy.

At My Chiropractor Mackay City, Colleen is the calm and capable force behind the scenes — overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting the team, and ensuring every client enjoys a smooth, welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Jo Tull

Jo brings a strong administration background to the team, with over 12 years’ experience working with Glencore Coal. Her attention to detail, calm manner and genuine care for people make her a wonderful support for both our chiropractors and our practice members.

Originally from Singleton in the Hunter Valley, Jo moved to Mackay in 2023 with her husband Ian to be closer to their family, including their son, daughters-in-law and much-loved grandchildren.

Outside the clinic, Jo enjoys baking, walking, Pilates, gardening and taking on small home renovation projects. She also has a keen eye for interior design and loves creating welcoming, beautiful spaces — something our practice members often feel when they visit.

Sebastian Harris

Sebastian is one of our Chiropractic Assistants and brings a friendly, positive energy to the My Chiropractor team. Joining us straight from Year 12, he has quickly become a valued part of the practice, enjoying the opportunity to connect with patients and support the team each day.

Sebastian loves interacting with people and takes pride in helping create a welcoming, relaxed environment for everyone who visits the clinic. He is enthusiastic, reliable and always happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

Before heading to Brisbane to study law at university, Sebastian is gaining valuable experience and developing strong communication and organisational skills. We’re delighted to have him as part of the team and know our practice members enjoy his approachable and genuine nature.

Toni Durnsford

Toni and her family have been patients of our practice since 2006 and have always valued and enjoyed the health benefits of chiropractic care. In 2022 Toni joined our team after deciding to take a break from being a Primary School Teacher. Toni’s big heart and vibrant laugh is well-known by many that walk through our practice door. Working in such a happy and positive work environment and having such wonderful clients is something Toni loves. When Toni isn’t at the practice, she is back in the classroom teaching part-time [we’re that great to work with she didn’t want to give up her role with us when she was asked to go back to teach. We love Toni and couldn’t imagine our practice without her.

Proudly Supporting Our Community

At My Chiropractor, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us. We are proud sponsors of Chances House Mackay, an organisation providing accommodation and support for regional families during some of life’s most challenging times.
